When I first met Pete I was so impressed with how thoughtful he was—he was unassuming, helpful, kind, courteous, fun, and just a nice guy to be around. He never seemed to have any reluctance in befriending the older generation, and that meant a lot to me. We had lots of interesting talks, walks on the beach, and he was just a great friend.
Later on, I lived in the same Family Home with Pete on different occasions and I continued to consider him a friend. He was a real gentleman, a real knight in shining armor in my opinion.
